Infertility Etiquette for Friends and Family
Much like with any disease or illness that one experiences it is difficult to fully understand the extent of its effects unless you have been in the same or similar situation. Often words or phrases are said by those who love us in an effort to provide condolence and comfort and although seemingly inconsiderate these things are simply said out of ignorance or misunderstanding.
Mike and I appreciate all of the support and kindness we have been shown during the last three years. I myself was ignorant when it came to infertility and I still am in many ways. Infertility is such a complex and intricate disease and no two patients are the same.
For those of you who are new to the world of infertility, I have listed a few websites below which give informative and helpful tips when dealing with a loved one who has been diagnosed with infertility. I hope you enjoy the articles and I appreciate you taking the time to read them. Remember we have only been diagnosed with infertility and like any other disease it does not define us, but makes us stronger.
